How to Overcome WFH-Related Stress

Nowadays, many companies have resorted to working-from-home or hybrid work arrangements. The latter means employees have several days working at the office and working from home. While working from home has its perks, at times, it can cause stress, significantly when the boundaries of work and household activities are blurred.

Are you suffering from work-from-home (WFH) related stress too? Here are some simple tips that will hopefully help you overcome your stress as you work remotely.

Create a Routine and Follow Through

Creating a routine and following it will help you plan what happens to you daily. When you create a routine, you can accomplish your work and your other home activities. It also helps you know which tasks should be prioritized at a specific time. That way, you can focus on one only instead of feeling overwhelmed and not knowing what to do first.

Stop Working After Your Working Hours

Another reason you may be experiencing WFH-related stress is that you still work even if it is past your working hours. Stop checking emails after your working hours. Now’s the time to focus on your home activities, such as doing chores or relaxing. Be comfortable saying no to your boss and workmates if they ask you to do work after your working hours.
