Perfect Snacks if You Are on a Diet

Health is wealth. And while exercise is an excellent way to keep your body fit and your organs in tip-top shape, the foods you eat also have a direct impact on your health. Exercising and eating right is a good way to achieve your ideal weight, especially if you want to shed a few pounds.

However, one of the reasons people find it hard to lose weight is snacks. Sometimes, after jogging outside in your Solviento Villas community, you might be tempted to snack on junk food or sweets. To help you achieve your goal weight, here are some healthy snack suggestions you can eat if you are on a diet. These snacks are delicious and healthy because they don’t contain high amounts of sugar, salt, saturated fat, and simple carbohydrates.

Fruit and Nut Butter

Apples and nut butter are ideal snack partners, and they are diet-friendly too! A medium apple will provide you with 20 percent of your daily dietary fiber. Dipping it into peanut or another nut butter adds protein and good fat to your snack. You can eat this any time of the day, even after your daily exercise.

Nuts

Nuts are healthy and filling; however, some nuts have high calories, so consuming them in small amounts is better. Snacking on nuts will add a good amount of protein and good fats to your diet. Just make sure that the nuts you consume are not seasoned with too much salt, sugar, or oil to make them healthy for you and your body. Almonds, cashews, peanuts, pistachios, walnuts, and hazelnuts are ideal snacks to chew on. If ever you are on your morning stroll along the amenity area of Solviento Residences in Bacoor, Cavite, you can pack nuts with you so that you can snack while you go around your neighborhood.

Greek Yogurt with Berries

Greek yogurt makes a good snack because it is low in fat and calories and high in protein and calcium. It is best consumed plain if you want to lose weight. But to add flavor to your yogurt, you can add fresh fruits such as berries and nuts to make it tastier and more nutritious instead of choosing flavored Greek yogurt.

Hard-boiled Eggs

Eggs are easy to cook and delicious. They are also a great source of protein and will not raise your cholesterol levels. The best way to cook eggs if you are on a diet is to boil them; that way you don’t need to use oil. It is also ideal to add less salt when eating your hard-boiled eggs.

Hummus and Vegetables

Hummus is basically pureed chickpeas. This is used in Mediterranean dishes and are often used as dips to vegetables, fruits, and chips. You may also use it as spread to your wraps and sandwiches for additional flavor and sauce for your salad or pasta. Hummus is high in fiber and protein, but you should still consume it in moderation since a tablespoon of it can have 30-60 calories per serving.

Air-popped Popcorn

Popcorn is a perfect snack if you are on a diet because it contains low calories and is a high source of fiber. When you eat this, you will feel full for a longer time. To make your popcorn healthier, skip adding butter or other flavorings to it. Instead, you can simply add a small amount of salt to taste.

Dark Chocolate

You can eat dark chocolate in small amounts if you try to lose weight. Dark chocolate contains magnesium and iron, and they can give you energy throughout the day. Snacking on dark chocolate will help curb your appetite since it also contains a lot of fiber.

Snacking healthy does not mean depriving yourself of delicious food. Eating food in the proper moderation is the key. May you enjoy these snacks as you go on your weight loss journey.
