Moving Outside the Metro? Consider These Suburban Home Locations

For the longest time, Metro Manila has been considered the crown jewel of convenient living. But as new infrastructure projects rise outside the capital region, moving to the suburbs is slowly becoming a more appealing option.

Changes in people’s preferred home location became even more pronounced in the era of COVID-19. Many home buyers now seek additional spaces for remote work and online class setups and for practicing social distancing measures.

If you’re also thinking of moving outside the metro, here are the top locations that allow for convenient suburban living.

Cavite

Located south of Metro Manila, Cavite is one of the closest neighbors of the capital region. South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and C-5 Road are the major thoroughfares that connect the province and Metro Manila.

Cavite is also an emerging home location because of its premier residential communities, one of which is La Verne Residences in Bacoor. This exclusive subdivision comprises single-attached homes with at least three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and spacious shared spaces. Its strategic location in Bacoor means that residents will be minutes away from business hubs, educational centers, and shopping malls.

Rizal

Rizal, on the other hand, is located east of Metro Manila. It’s best known for its natural attractions, including mountainous terrains ideal for camping, biking, and mountain climbing.

Antipolo City is among the most popular locations for urbanites seeking a great blend of suburban feel and urban convenience. The city has several fancy restaurants and cafes and is also filled with lush greenery. At the same time, it won’t rob you of the much-needed access to the metro. Antipolo is only 30 minutes away from Pasig City via Marikina-Infanta Highway.

Pampanga

Pampanga is located in Central Luzon and is considered one of the most inclusive locations in the Philippines. It’s home to many foreigners, particularly in the areas of Mabalacat and Angeles.

The province also has its own international airport and business hubs in the Clark Freeport Zone, which are both drivers of local economic growth. Via Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, Pampanga is less than an hour away from the future seat of the national government, the New Clark City in Bamban, Tarlac.

Cebu City

In 2020, Cebu City ranked as the top real estate hotspot outside Metro Manila. It’s a promising location, especially if you prefer to live in the growing Visayas region.

Although Cebu City is already a highly urbanized area, it maintains quite a serene atmosphere, thanks to its nature parks and cultural sites. Residential developments in Cebu City are also a short distance away from first-rate hotels and private beach resorts.

Davao City

Properties in Davao City are likewise attractive because of their potentially high and fast price appreciation. This is partly due to the city’s improving transport infrastructure and the increasing number of commercial developments.

With Davao City becoming more accessible and convenient, real estate developers have started building projects within and near the vicinity. These don’t just include traditional subdivisions but also modern condos and mixed-use townships.

From Luzon to Visayas to Mindanao, you’re sure to find a suburban home location that promises convenience and comfortable living. But if your main goal is to be away from the metro but not too far from it, you’d do well in choosing a Bacoor subdivision like La Verne Residences.
