Tourist Destinations in Tagaytay for a Quick Getaway from the City

After a long and hectic week at school or work, the first thing you’d want to do is to relax and get away from the city. The good thing is there are tons of tourist destinations that you can visit just a few kilometers away from Metro Manila. Tagaytay is the perfect place to get some rest and explore around.

In Tagaytay, you’ll find restaurants, parks, shopping centers, and attractions. It’s best to visit with family and friends for a more refreshing and exciting experience. A day trip is fun, but it’s better to stay during the weekend to make the most of your visit. You can choose from different hotels like Kasa Luntian for a convenient stay. The location of Kasa Luntian makes it convenient to get around Tagaytay and find a new restaurant to try out.

Here are some of the spots around Tagaytay that you can check out:

  • Taal Volcano

Taal Volcano and Lake are popular destinations in Tagaytay. The volcano has erupted 34 times -- making it one of the most active in the country. Taal Volcano is known to have a cratered mouth that connects to the lake. Both local and foreign tourists visit the destination all year round. You can see the lake within the volcano by taking a boat and then hiking up to the cratered mouth.

  • Sky Ranch

Visiting the Sky Ranch will take you back to your younger days. The amusement park has different amusement rides that you can enjoy with family and friends. It also has a Sky Cruiser that overlooks the Taal Volcano and Lake. You can even ride a 300-meter long zipline.

  • Tagaytay Picnic Grove

If you want to spend some quality time with your family while enjoying the breathtaking views and some packed food, then Picnic Grove is the place to go! There are also different activities you can try out, from horseback riding to cable car riding.

  • Breakfast at Antonio’s

After spending some time on the road, you’ll surely want to eat some good food. You should try out the breakfast menu at Breakfast at Antonio’s. It’s a bonus that the restaurant has an excellent overlooking view of Taal Volcano and has a rustic-themed interior. It’s a perfect opportunity to take pictures with your company and commemorate the trip.

  • Sonya’s Secret Garden

Another good location for some good food is Sonya’s Secret Garden. On top of their restaurant, you can also check out their spa, wedding venue and even stay for a night. The place is surrounded by beautiful flowers and greeneries -- making it feel like you’re tucked away from the busy life outside.

  • People’s Park in the Sky

If you want to reach the highest point of Tagaytay City and get a scenic view of the area, you should head to People’s Park in the Sky. Make sure to bring a jacket if you’re visiting during the “ber” months, as it can get chilly up there. At the hilltop area, you’ll find gazebos and footbridges.

You can explore different places in Tagaytay, so don’t wait longer and pack your bags -- your next adventure is just less than two hours away from the city. Get that much-needed relaxing getaway to refresh on the weekend!
